Bravo, Bravo.  I love this piece and it was played wonderfully.  I had not heard of Bortkiewicz until you posted the first piece here, but I'm a fan of his now.
Thank you for sharing,
Mike White

I must confess that I have never took the time to listen to Bortkiewicz, but this piece in simply enchanting!

You play it extreemly well, and manage to keep it constantly alive, keep up the good work!

Do you know of any place you can get his music online?

Cheers!

there are, of course, many places to get it illegally, but im sure youre after the lawful way. you can get it from here:

https://www.geocities.com/bthad.geo/

pretty much all of his published works can be obtained from there.

so beautiful, koji!  say, you're playing at trinity hall? in philly this weekend aren't you?  i heard the announcement on the radio twice yesterday.  i'm SO glad they said it twice because i never got the location the first time.  and, even still - i haven't a clue where trinity hall is.  can you fill me in?  hoping that i can come.

you play so well.  these recordings are a treat!  susan

ps i think i meant 'holy trinity church' on 6th and pine?  there is a cemetary there, i read, where 'acadians' are buried.  1400 of them came to philadelphia from nova scotia and new brunswick in 1755 when the british took over french canada.  called the french neutrals, they were housed in a cantonment at 6th and pine while waiting for transport to louisiana.  many are buried there - lovers of longfellow's poem 'evangeline' are buried here, too.?!  something mystical and haunting about 'in the forest primeval...'

Standing ovations from me as well!   :)
I hope you'll come over to Europe at some time to give concerts!

Btw, is there any chance we might hear your Death and the Maiden transcription? Please....  ;)

Hi koji,

I must admit this is the first time I ever heard a Bortkiewicz composition.  I loved it's hyper-neo-romantic idiom!  I detect some Scriabin influence in this piece.  It's absolutely gorgeous.  I can't say enough about your artistry too.  I was enthralled by your performance.  Bravo!!!
