I guess I'll be the one to write his eulogy. :'(

"Yeah, he'll be missed.  But why?  He was a drunk, a porno-***, a wife beater, a pedaphile, a drug addict, not to mention dealer, a man-***, gymnastic (he has the uncanny ability to bend over with such great ease), and lastly, a forum post-***.

These are the attributes that only some of us will miss.  In his death, his posts will no longer offend me, God, for I have kept his soul still.  He may have thought that he was me for awhile, at least when he was high on drugs, but he soon realized his place - in the ground at a minimum of 9 feet under.  But that is not to say that the worms and other insects will not enjoy him.  I'm sure my small creations will bask in such utter tasteful delight for all my creatures, even le Vent, taste as good or better than my left arm.

His memory will be left intact with this one thought: he was not to be ignored, for in doing so, he would never have been bannished into the realm of reality where no one can hear his quiet sobbing in the middle of the night, cuddled into the corner as his sire pulls up his pants.  I heard those thoughts of your, le Vent.  You prayed to me by asking for something to wipe your itchy butt.  But you didn't need to ask me for toilet tissue - it was just down the hall, first door on the left.  I don't know how you keep on asking as you go there on your own about an hour after your father leaves your room and goes back to sleep with your mother.  You go in, wipe your tears, wipe your butt, then go back into your corner and continue sobbing.  No need to pray ever again, my lowly creature.

To all your mortals, he will be missed, no doubt, unless you won't miss him, then I have mis-assumed you will.  Yeah, if you don't miss him, I don't blame you.  I don't even know why I had him lay still.  Now he'll only be a nuisance to Us.

Hmm... On second consideration and after a millenium of thought on this, I've decided to bring him back.  His father will be most proud.

Behold!  Comme le Vent has ressurected!

why do you try to imitate me?

i am the god of wind.

you are only the god of stinking piles of cest-ridden drivel.

but oh, you know me so well.

i bestow upon you the title - the righteous dude.

and if you only learn one thing from my carnal riddles, it shall be so -

without me, you're only you.

just to point out one thing to the 'god of the wind' ;) ->

we didn't need you or your riddles to know that we're us...

+I do not appreciate your use of the word only! ;)

cheers. amit

The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side. (Hunter Thompson)

Yea, i am a friend of Ed.

He is a extrordinary pianist. And a Argerich-freak.

He has got a lot of awards and now enrolled in the prestigious RSM (Royal School of Music)

P.S.

It's been a year since he left, who digged up this thread?

He is a prodigy, he practices like 4 or 5 hours a day.

He was ALWAYS serious, and really picky about the using of english words.

He once learnt the whole Schumann Concerto in a week, that's something he was proud of.

He is really good, he plays some Alkan (Le Festin and Symphony for PIano solo) too.

He recorded the La Campanella and Alkan Le Festin d'Esope before for some people.
Actually quite a few people on this forum have it.

When Practice Stagnates – Breaking the Performance Ceiling: Robotic Training for Pianists

“Practice makes perfect” is a common mantra for any pianist, but we all know it’s an oversimplification. While practice often leads to improvement, true perfection is elusive. But according to recent research, a robotic exoskeleton hand could help pianists improve their speed of performing difficult pianistic patterns, by overcoming the well-known “ceiling effect”.
