Chopin Nocturne in D-flat op 27 - 2.
on: February 15, 2007, 09:43:45 AM
Hi,

I recorded this glorious Nocturne on my Roland digital piano.
I've been playing 2.5 years and am self taught. This is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have heard - I hope I did it the justice it deserves. Any comments and feedback would be very much appreciated!

Thanks!

you're very musical - and are doing well for no  lessons i might add!  do you come from a musical family?  there's only occasional places where you might want more pedal change - but generally i hear the harmonies.  it's hard, i know, with digital.

Hi Pianistimo, thanks for your feedback!

My family has not been very musical at all which is why I've taken up piano so 'late', i'm 24 now. One of my brothers plays guitar which he also took up quite late.

I think your commenting about my musicianship is the best compliment one could get. The best tip i got for learning pieces such as this is to phrase the melody as if you were singing it - I think I made an effort to do this from the start. Thanks for the pedalling tip - it can be a little frustrating pedalling on the digital which is just not quite realisteic enough yet.

Thanks again!
