I think there are still bagels upstairs for me to eat. The more interesting question, though, is whether my dad has eaten all the lox.

if only!  i really wanted to post about three things yesterday - parts of the faure nocturne (fourth one), parts of the second chopin ballade, and something else.  but, jake is holding me to a higher standard.  therefore, i shall not post until it is at least halfway presentable.  that could be a year from now.  i practice in spurts.  something is almost performance ready and i get sidetracked by another piece.  that's what happened to my chopin etude.  maybe i do need drugs  (i mean medication)  so i won't stop practicing one thing because another thing looks better.

am still waiting for my order of leroy anderson's piano concerto.  funny thing. yesterday the pottstown symphony orchestra was doing a fund drive.  i got to see the conductor (female ) on tv yesterday.  she is exactly who i want to talk to and whom i plan on playing this piece with.  am i too much of a dreamer?  i'm going to do this before i die.  and hopefully record it, too.

Poems of Ecstasy – Scriabin’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

The great early 20th-century composer Alexander Scriabin left us 74 published opuses, and several unpublished manuscripts, mainly from his teenage years – when he would never go to bed without first putting a copy of Chopin’s music under his pillow. All of these scores (220 pieces in total) can now be found on Piano Street’s Scriabin page. Read more
