Kawai K-70?
on: March 06, 2007, 07:54:22 AM
Hi all -
I was playing uprights in a piano store today when the saleswoman directed me to their new Kawai K-70, priced at $7450 before negotiations. He explained that it was a Japan-only model not released here in the US and that this was the only one they had left. It was a very nice 52' piano and I quite liked its action and tone. I am a serious pianist in the market for a professional upright, since I do not have space for and cannot afford the quality of grand I'd like.
Does anyone know anything about this model? It's not listed on the Kawai Web site and I don't find much on Internet searches.

I use the K-3, a lower model than the K-70, and I just love it to bits. The action on it is very responsive, and a good tone for the whole instrument. The K-70 should be even better than that.
