Hi,

Here is my recording of Chopin's 3rd Sonata Op. 58 in B minor - first movement.
Feel free to share your thoughts about it.

Best,

wow that was near perfect! I couldn't tell the difference between that and the Argerich recording  ;)

do you play the whole sonata

Greatest respect from me too. You play so clean, on a very high technical level, well shaped and with wonderful sound, musicality and freedom. Nothing to critize in these topics.

Only one thing: the mood of the piece could be a bit more maestoso and  heroical. It sounds a bit too harmless in some parts. Even in the lyrical passages, there should be a feeling of strongness, nobleness and proudness. Think of Rubinstein and you know what I mean  :)

agree with counterpoint. your second theme starting at 6:20 should be really maestoso. besides that,it's wonderful

I like, how Rubinstein is playing Chopin in general, but I don't have a recording with him playing the sonatas. So I don't know, if he plays them well. But I suppose, he does  :)
