Brahms Concerto Nr.2
on: March 17, 2007, 08:49:03 PM
I am looking for an orchestra accompaniment of the Brahms Piano Concerto Nr.2 op.83.

Music Minus One site shows only the Nr.1 D Minor Concerto.

Any other places to look?

Regards,

There should be plenty of 2-piano arrangements, it's not like the Brahms 2 is rarely played or anything.

Here's a free one.

I think he's talking about a CD with only orchestra accompaniment.

You can always record yourself playing the orchestra accompaniement, and then play along. :) Its great training.

IF you learn it, I'd love to hear it-one of my favorite concerto's!  :)

Take a midi file, convert it into notes using noteworthy composer or some similar software, strike off the piano track ..and then play it back:
Disadvantage: You have to accompany a MIDI...can sound a bit yucky.
Advantages: easy, all pieces available, can adjust the tempo, and can see the score move etc.
Waste of time -- do not read signatures.

Thanks so much, rohansahai. Great idea.
I have done exactly that.
And with a couple of decent soundfonts, the result is not that bad either.
