I'm terribly sorry for the abhorrable crime of thread necromancy, but I think I found THE piece this thread was looking for.

Erwin Schulhoff: Sonata erotica for female voice solo.

Not to forget Ravel Daphnis et Chloe, second suite--the opening is one. long, sustained movement towards orgasm.

Ein Heldenleben... at least if we're doing the main stream stuff.  Strauss is always good for a simple and unapologetic release.

But Elgar's Dream of Gerontius takes it all to much higher levels.

I'm glad you're so passionate about your Elgar.

I'll mention the obvious Isolde and Mephisto Waltz.
Scriabin's 5th sonata does come to mind as well.

Szymanowski's music in general is fitting in a simply wrong way!  The second sonata, the variation sets, the metopes and legendes are all at times very sensual and sexual.
For us musicians, the music of Beethoven is the pillar of fire and cloud of mist which guided the Israelites through the desert.  (Roughly quoted, Franz Liszt.)

No Beethoven 5th Symphony? That huge crescendo between the 3rd and 4th movement is just fantastic. Also I find Beethoven's use of trills in the Waldstein and his last 4 sonatas can reach a wonderful climax.

Considering that Szymanowski was a pedophile, it is perhaps a bit too fitting...
