Encore for piano trio
on: April 14, 2007, 12:00:20 PM
Dear all,

I am looking for a small encore piece for a piano trio (violin, cello, piano), and even better, for the score of it! A Russian composer is preferred, but not necessary.

Thanks in advance!

shchedrin wrote 3 "funny pieces" for piano trio, which would make very good encores. his famous humoresque is among one of these pieces (arranged for piano trio, of course).

Ernest Bloch. Three nocturnes, perhaps the last one?

There's a (maybe more) Piazolla tango for trio which went down well.
Never look at the trombones. You'll only encourage them.
