Starting a Pianists meeting group in the London area

If there are any interested amateur pianists in or near London of any standard, I'm trying to start a group meeting. The idea being that we meet somewhere, (preferably somewhere with a piano), and play, chat, swap ideas.
I know there are such groups around but have not found one in London, (except for the Chopin Society which isn't quite the same thing).
Any ideas, comments or suggestions, please post here.

  Sounds like a marvellous idea! You do say 'any' standard? I might scrape in there I'm down in the Crystal Palace area myself but travel isn't a big issue really. Have you any info on the other groups also?

I do mean 'any' standard. The idea is that the group (if and when we get one started), is an environment where hopefully we can share ideas, and those of higher standard will hopefully share ideas and tips with others. The better players can have an environment to play in, if they so wish, and we can all benefit from having a sociable drink and chat with others of like mind.
The Bristol group sound good, how often do you meet, how many in the group, and do you play at your meetings?

We meet once a month at a member's house but this alternates between Fri, Sat and Sun to allow everyone the chance to attend. Meetings are held in homes with two pianos and sufficient space to fit everyone who attends.

The number in the group varies with each meeting and there will be people who can and cannot make it. Overall, there is a total of up to 40-50 people on the list. Usually about 20-30 people attend each meeting on average.

Everyone is given the opportunity to play if they want to. For those who don't play, they are welcome to come and listen. We also play duets and duos at our meetings. Sometimes, we play 8-hand works on two pianos.

Members must be over 18 years of age. Pianists of beginner up to diploma level are all welcome.

We usually have some finger food and drink during the 'interval' which is great for socialising and finding duet/duo partners.

I am interested, as well!!!  I want to go to London and I *love* the idea  .  Wish I could.  I guess I'm just celebrating with you, and living vicariously .
