Mendelssohn Piano Concerto num 1 Op 25

My favorite piano concerto after Beethovens fouth. It just that when i listen to it my spirit rises. This concerto is underated IMO.

Mendelssohn's first piano concerto is amazing...its one of my fav. piano concertos too

It is absolutely amazing, I believe its 5th on my list of favs. and the good thing about it is that it isn't that difficult

It was a favorite with Rudolph Serkin who recorded it with Ormandy and the Philadelphia Orchestra. That performance is a real treat. Although not very difficult, the finale requires an excellent rotation technique.
