i drive this way in my honda odessy van.  fast, i mean.  it's just that it doesn't have the torque to pull out across the road very well, so i have to baby it for the first 1/8th mile.  then, gradually, it just does what i want.  have to be careful around corners - but i try to hug the lines and watch out for telephone poles.

my fastest driving is on my bicycle.  tight turns.  that is the only fun of driving fast.  can you make it around the turn?  driving straight is boring.  of course, it is best to drive fast when there are no children or pets.

usually around residential areas - i go fairly slow though.  the other day i was glad that i was in a slow mode with the van because a bird would not get out of the road  and kept walking in circles.  i literally had to stop whist her companion nudged her into the other lane.  i though for sure they would get creamed by oncoming traffic - but they made it across.
