Happy birthday!

Virtual birthday cake doesn't have any calories, so you'll be fine with it... and with all that dancing you'd burn them off anyway! So here, one virtual chocolate cake, complete with candles - my mother's recipe...

Happy b-day wolf ;)

How will you celebrate?

Well it's a sunny day here, I guess I will go to a beautiful place later or cycling a bit, and of course LOTS of piano....Maybe the one or other glass of wine in the evening with some friends. And recapitulating the past year, which I use to do sometimes on that day. And RELAX ;D

Wow thank you! This is an interesting wish... new life every day, hmmm :). But also pretty straining don't you think? I mean if you would have to deal every single day with major changes like I had some this past year---barely survivable :o as happy as I am though. :P ;D

Happy Birthday Wolfi.
I hope you have had a great day with lots of prezzies a good party and some booze, i am suggesting you are over 18? Any how, enjoy the rest of it, you still have till midnight, and just remember, today is about you and nobody else, you are King, for today, only, so let no one else tell you how to run your party, suggesting you are over 16, if under 16, then i suggest let mummy help.

Happy Birthday once again, may it be filled with happiness, and stuff you like

Happy birthday :)

Since my late teens I have felt *bad* at every birthday more than good, knowing I am a year older and having so little to show for it.

I'm sure others have a better attitude to each passing year  :-*

Cool, I am moved by so many people wishing me good :'( :). Yes Rebby I am slightly over 18 ;D Opus I know this feeling, but I am sure you have something to show! Trust yourself! :) And maybe you will do it like me last year: just get a NEW birthday (well one has to deal with this afterwards I admit :P) Good luck to all of you even if you don't have birthday. I just came back from a very lonely walk in a very lonely valley *opens bottle of wine* Cheers to all! ;D

Here are the pictures.

one of these very special clouds I love so much...

My World

My dear little flower

Border

After all it is still incredible to me that I can go for a walk in a completely abandoned region (at least at the time I was there) and a few hours later I can share this completely lonely and abandoned world with...well with you all here. hmmmm scary and cheering at the same time. As I use to be, this is a way of thinking in my own particular way and I just GO to the borders, to the borders of everything. my way of celebrating a birthday...go to the border in my piano playing ( I have nothing recorded of these things I was led into today....And maybe it is good as it is...) and go to the most lonely place that is achievable...hmmm :) :) :) 8)

Of course this deserves a separate post. I am speechless, you open this thread and then you wish me a second time happy birthday. :'( :'( :) :) This is ....well I have actually no words, I just can say, Thank you for all!!! :)

And this idea of a new life every day...well I am sure you know what that means...It is a challenge....or two or three challenges... :P A new chance every day? Okay...:) Anyway I hope your day was at least as much fulfilling to you as mine was and, well, new life every day, new birthday everyday, isn't it?  ;D ;D So in this particular sense happy birthday to you too! ;D

And of course to Counterpoint too in this sense ;D ;D

haha It's a castle, in my home county of Northumberland we have more castles than any other county in England  8)

Perhaps due to this county previously being part of Scotland, and quite a few battles being waged around the borders.

I live in england, near a castle..there are 2 big castles within 9 miles of me.

The other one -

Alnwick Castle is the second largest inhabited castle in England, the first being Windsor Castle...

https://www.alnwickcastle.com/

It's actually a 'classical' concert venue also, I met Hamelin there  :P

I am thoroughly jealous of you, living in Northumbria. It's a gorgeous part of the world, I've spent a lot of happy times there. Last time I was there I was staying on Lindisfarne, but unfortunately I was cursed with dull, grey weather so my landscape shots didn't really come to anything. Such is life, I suppose, it gives me an excuse to come back!

The weather is never reliable in Britain  :P

Funny thing, in the last year quite a few people have been caught in the water in the drive to the island, I don't know if it's global warming or just increasing stupidity of people ignoring the tidal timing thingies.

People are stupid, I think. When I made the trip I got the train from Leeds to Berwick to get a cab over to the island... and needless to say my train was delayed by an hour and a half which would have meant my missing the tide. You have no idea how long it took me to explain to the customer service staff what a tidal causeway is and why they needed to get me to Berwick an awful lot faster than the delay would mean!

The island is lovely once the causeway's closed and all the day trippers are back on the mainland... just a pity the light wasn't on my side! I could have made plenty of stormy skies, it didn't have to be sunny... but flat grey is the worst, there's neither light nor drama.

this is where you grew up, stevie?  really?  wow.  it's something.  how come you didn't stay?  castle was haunted or something?  those pics are really beautiful.  but, england is stuffy and moldy just like pennsylvania.  you go into these places and huge parts of the wall are green.  it's rather disgusting.  unless it's a particularly hot day.  then, what do you do?  ride horses?  that sounds alright.  then, what?  cricket?  then, a spot of tea?  what's up withe lion's tail?

haha The lion just saw a particularly attractive lioness...

Ja, where I grew up and still live, I said 'memories' because I don't get out and around the area as much nowadays, when I had more free time I would hang out with friends and mess around.

I vividly remember a steep hillside where I would go with friends to find some random old porn magazines  :P  I was very young and very curious *halo*.

I also remember falling and injuring myself from the castle bridge.

I also remember my father telling me about a friend of his who advocated 'shagging' in the castle's moat at night, on the downward slope.

I also remember my friend randomly playing with himself on a public bench for no particular reason other than to attract stares from passers by.

Memories.. :)

somehow, i thought you lived in florida.  now, you say you still live here.  i'm confused.  were you studying at florida state?  but, you live in northumbria?  anyways, it's very beautiful.  childhood memories !  falling off a bridge.  in a moat?  at night?  on a downward slope?  that could be very dangerous.
