good points.  also, usually good teachers give advice which helps you so much technically and musically that you don't want to argue with them once you've tried whatever it is.  even -moving too much.  i see the benefit in not using extraneous movements that don't relate to sound.

the only thing is that many teachers who are in 'performance' become so involved in the music - that a few students end up holding their mouths open when they play because of concentration.  maybe piano performance majors should also have videos of themselves from year 1 to 3 or 4 as vocal majors do.  they always have mirrors and are always being coached on 'what it looks like' from the audience as well.

Teacheable attitudes  : Desire to improve the quality of playing.

If somebody would like to improve his or her quality of playing.
This individual will have the following desire:

1. practice hard.
2. listen to good performances and try to emulate.
3. get along to a teacher who can help him or her to achieve the goals.
4. show cooperation.
