Haydn's piano concerto
on: March 13, 2004, 04:29:39 AM
Hi,
I have come across in HMV store a CD on Haydn's piano concertos. I am curious whether his piano concerto is under-mentioned in the classical music circle.
Is it worth buying the CD? I forgot the artist who played the concertos.
Who is the best exponent of his piano concertos?

Wes

There is a CD with Argerich playing Haydn's piano concerto no 11 (along with Chostakovitch's piano concerto no 1). I l ove it.

Emanuel Ax has the best Haydn recordings, I think
