That looks like a copy-paste from somewhere, especially because you misspelled Bright Sheng's name there, and you haven't in the past. Tsk tsk tsk.
Yes definitely a copy-paste. It's just a coincidence that my favorite Asian composers are at the top, and they're not in alphabetical order.Oh and that Bright Sheng's name is misspelled. That should be a dead giveaway that I didn't grab it off some website. I have dysgraphia and will occasionally switch words when typing (do it a lot more when hand-writing). Bright/bring. You've probably noticed me do it before
Fantastic, this is a great start, but it appears to me there is little depth to our knowledge and that my narrow question is getting a little squashed. I do appreciate, as context, what you have to say about 20th C. music from Asian composers, among which Takemitsu towers in popularity, only rivaled by Tan Dun, whom certainly is active currently. But the narrow question is about worthwhile piano works. I am interested in titles, descriptions and analyses, how to get, recordings, websites promoting the disemination of this music, etc.For those of you interested, this is an opportunity to raise the level of musicological knowledge in pianostreet and to explore this potentially very interesting area.
