ugh im not fan of his. his studio recording is actually quite good, but its basically argerich but not as well played. are you learning this?

you're learning it at the moment ? such a great piece. harder than scarbo too! if you like scarbo, you should have a go at it.

I'm wondering, what are your favorite recordings/performances of Gaspard? Individual pieces and then overall.

ondine - louis lortie
le gibet - argerich
scarbo - jean-phillipe collard, although i havent heard a perfect recording to my taste yet.

just my opinion, but if i had to go with an overall it would be collard

always looking for more and more recordings though! there must be a perfect one out there somewhere...  if you havent heard sa chen's scarbo, its bloody fast. from van cliburn competition

Oh! I just went to her concert 3 days ago. She played Mozart piano concerto no. 23 with Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Edo de Waart. I enjoyed it a lot!  ;)
