I applied to all music colleges in UK. I played Beethoven appasionata, liszt concert etude "gnomenreigen" and chopin 3rd scherzo. I got accepted everywhere so my programme obviously worked. It just depends how you play it, they'll not be bothered about what you play as long as its good. Do NOT go hammering away at islamey, Liszt etudes etc... they hate that sort of stuff. Stick a solid Beethoven sonata in, some significant romantic work (Chopinm ballade, scherzo etc....) and something short and fun. Don't worry to much about repertoire, remember they'll judge the playing, instead of pieces. Do whatever you feel confortabole doing.
