Well, whatever criticisms may be levelled at it, my suggestion was intended as well-meaning and constructive and, if followed, needn't necessarily result in a hands-on experience that "could bring about a series of quite nasty burns", still less the risk of "communicational suicide" or "the social equivalent of nuclear proliferation". However it seems to have gone rather flat and has certainly not creased anyone up, so I wish that I'd not put any of my distilled wisdom into it and wouldn't in any case want anyone to be board by it. Susan hasn't yet answered anyway (perhaps because she has other more important things pressing), so perhaps my idea was, after all, something of a waste of time...
