Deleting mail in yahoo

I've got a folder that filters in other piano forums.  Yes, other forums.  Except I don't read them much.

So.... I've got like 20,000 email notification in this folder.

How can I delete all those quickly?

This is a yahoo email account.  I've got it set to display 200 emails on one page.  That's the most it will show on one page.  But 200 deleted at once doesn't dent that 20,000 emails much.

Is there a way to delete all the contents of one folder in yahoo?

i am sure this makes nils happy.  just reply to all the e-mails politely:  'bob is only found on pianostreet now.  best wishes.  bob.'

Oh, the yahoo stuff is from yahoo groups.  A few of them.  I look in from time to time.

The addresses on spam aren't real.  You either aren't reply to anyone or it's some poor person who had their email address name used.  The spammer can be found with the reply button.

why didn't i think of that.  you're so smart bob.  deleting mail is prohibitively time consuming if you do it one at a time.  just do something to cause your computer to crash.  people complain about this usually - but for you - it might be a good thing.

My computer is good enough about crashing on its own without any help from me.

it's always the young ones.  my son knows so much more about computers.  i am always waiting for him to help me do this or that.  he usually laughs before he helps me.  it makes me feel so inadequate.

In the first column at the top of the email messages there should be a box you check that will globally "mark" all the boxes of the individual emails. Then you just click "delete' or "junk" and they should disappear.

The thread looks ok with me.  It has some pianistimo in it, but otherwise ok. 

I do use the "check all" box, but that only checks all on that one page.  There would be.... 100 pages of 200 emails to get 20,000 emails total.

It is done.  20,000 emails deleted.  Whew!

I started deleting pages from the beginning, then set another page up at the end, then set one in the middle.  Killed off about a thousand or two a day....  And it's done.

You could have done it much quicker and either checkboxed all the e-mails and clicked "Delete" or delete the entire folder!

You can only check 200 per page.  You can't check the whole folder and can't delete it from the folder options part.
