International Stepping Stone Competition Repertoire

Is anyone doing this competition next year in Quebec City?  I'm currently piecing together a program for it, and would like some suggestions.  For more information about the competition and repertoire, go to:

just a random guess but would your second etude that is not a chopin or liszt be Ligeti #6?

Prokofiev Concerto No.2


As you can see, there are some holes that need to be filled.  Most of the rep works pretty well together.  However, I may not decide to play the Hamelin as that piece requires WAY too much maintenance.  Any comments?

Hetu variations and Morel 2 etudes de sonorite are great canadian pieces also

How bout Vivier's Shiraz?  By the way, how old are you?  If you can do one of the Bartok Etudes I would go with that, as A- they are more technically difficult than Automne a Varsovie, and B- the jury is going to want to puke by the time they've heard yours, after hearing about 20 other kids play it before you.  Because that is gonna be one of the more popular ones.

Yes, I LOVE the Bartok Op.18 etudes.  However, last year I don't think anyone played a Ligeti etude, so I think I'll be safe with one of them.  And i'm 18.  Thanks for the comment though!
