actually if u want to travel to manhattan, juilliard offers an evening division thats open to anybody who wants to register for a price...it offers some incredible stuff, like a class with david dubal (brilliant guy who wrote some well known books like t...etc.) called the art of the piano. he brings in famous guest pianists, discusses their performances, plays recordings from the golden age of piano playing and studies different artists in comparative performance....a great find. i believe you can also sit in on various master classes in juilliard if u want to, but only if u are enrolled for something. if u want to enroll, call up juilliard, ask for the evening division and they'll send u a brochure, but hurry up cause it begins soon. you can also join some classes in the mannes school of music (affiliated with the new school) extention division. they offer master classes, chamber groups, music history classes, etc. I believe the manhattan school of music also has similar classes, as does the third street music school. and uh, my own teacher also gives good master classes frequently. hope this helps
