Dear Susan,
Let me start with I have no doubt that you are a nice, lovely, and fun person. Having said that, I have to admit that right now this is not the point.
Let me remind you, that was YOU who was asked NUMEROUS times by many different members not to spam this board with your lengthy religious preaches or citations from the bible, especially when they are out of topic.
Yes, it is true, you don't start those threads, but let me remind you, this is YOU, who completely ignores and disregards those requests, ruining many excellent threads and discussions by your out of topic religious insertions.
In my book, this is at very least inconsiderate and disrespectful!
Pardon me, only in a couple last days you did MANY times. It is rather sad you even don't realize it.
I actually believe it. I just don't get why you then find it OK to do it here, on the board, when people cannot see you in person?
Well, I agree that some of the things I've said were judgemental, and some are just none of my business, so I revise it:
I apologize for writing it and take back my words: "blindly fanatical", "senseless", "uncultural", "narrow-minded".
I however leave my other words, i.e. "pushy", "persistant", "tactless".
I did not say a word for many years, but I guess the point of "annoyment" has reached its peak.
Best, M
P.S. Once friend of mine brought me to a Church in Manhattan (don't remeber which... I think it was in midtown), where according to her was a great preacher.
Indeed, it was a great experience, even though I am very far away from Christianity!!!
I remember a few ideas, which I found quite lovely:
1) One who believes DEEPLY never talks about it, but prefers to think.
2) One who believes DEEPLY prefers not to quote or state ideas, but to question those quotes and ideas.
3) One who believes DEEPLY should realize that his/hers belief is only one of many other beliefs.

Topic: Who likes bread?

Mmm bread sounds delicious. I used to make bread for the little one. He's not so little an-T more. Bread is wonderful. It reminds me of the story in the old testament where they fed all the people when didn't have but a few loaves of bread. So when I eat bread, I can image the ponderous wondering and supersatisfactual religiosity that must have overcome those people at that moment. God gave them food because he is a merciful and wonderous apparition. His loves feels me with joy at moment of my life.
I like to go hiking sometimes too. But I can never seem to stay on the trail. Guest it muss be my bad cents of directions. It reminds of the story of Jonah and fish where he thought he was lost and swallowed for good but the big ugly whale spat him out mercifully on the shores. Me and my husband had a bit fight about this the other day. Well I guess it wasn't so much a fight. More a small going at of it, or a spat. He thinks the fish is a Maiko. I think its a shark. He says that a shark would eat a man, but I say that if the shark were under the divine will it would do as God bid it. My sons say it's a great whale. They're the only one's large enough to swallow a man whole.
Or a piece of bread.
But i say swallowing the bread whole is Thalbergmad job. He seems like he eats a lot of bread. If I were his mother I'd make him do his own laundry. As the lord says 'good things might come to those who wait'. well not exactly I might have embellished a little.

Perfectly pianistissimo

Now Ah ask you: Wherein, this most chaotic and sensically nonsensical of pseudo-posts, wherein lies this vicious animal which you seek to attack. I see nothing pushy. I see nothing tactless. insane? Perhaps. Persistence? She wouldn't be pianistissimo if she wasn't.
However, nothing worth getting your panties in a bunch over.
No amount of typing, talking, and especially badgering can sway any individual with a strong belief. You waste your life, time, and air.
It is very easy to see a post by pianistissimo and A: skip to the next or B: read it and laugh like ah do

And let's face it, the reason so many topics are opened against religion is because people need to feel validate in their stance against it. It's not enough for one to be an atheist or a freethinker. One has to say "hey, religious guy, my way is the right way, and look how many people support me." Religion tells people they can't do something they want to do or have already done. Religion tells people that what they've done is bad. People don't like to be seen a bad. Bad make people feel bad. People just wanna feel good.
Disagree? Imagine for a second, and I mean really imagine, a world where nothing is a sin. People are free to do whatsoever they please. So long as they don't harm others, of course. And, in this world, when people die, there is no hell. No fiery pits. No fauns with pitch forks. You're free to wine, to dine, to dance, to...sex

, without any consequence except the feeling of joy that you've made yourself and others happy. And in this world, when people die, their souls drift off into heaven. There they live with the one true god in loving peace for all eternity.
Sounds appealing doesn't it. At least more appealing than what one usually hears.
Religion = Set Unbreakable Rules = Humanly Impossible = Subjective Conformance = Comparison = Pain.
Religion = Pain. People don't like Pain.
Religion = Pain. People don't like Pain.
Religion = Pain. People don't like Pain.
Another theory might simply be because the non Religious, deep down, resent the Religious. The Religious constantly remind us of our flaws. This give many pain. The opening of these topic would be merely a lashing back, of sorts. Perhaps the animal is not in the religious, but in ourselves.
Note: Just noticed - Family Guy + Bible = Pianistissimo's posts.
This remind me of that time when I baby sat for Jacob. Hey, Hey, Have any of you kid seen Joseph
