Handel Chaconne in G major

I just listened to Perahia's recording of the Handel Chaconne in G major.

Does anyone else think this is an absolutely gorgeous piece?  I just love it.  (Though sometimes I don't know if I'm liking the piece or Perahia's coruscating playing.)

Has anyone played it? Is it hard? Does anyone know anything about it?  At times, it seems to remind me of the Bach d minor violin Chaconne.

periaha's handel chaconne is randomly a bit awsome. amazing recording with some handel suites the chaconne and some scarlatti sonatas.

I've just finished learning it for my personal repertoire .  It deserves to be better known.  The Suites need to be programmed more in recital too. Perahia is great!

I've performed this piece, I love it.  Perahia sounds marvelous playing it.

How many pages is this piece approximately?  And is it relatively easy to memorize (for those of you who have done it?)  Thanks.

I don't know the page number, but it's about eight minutes long.  I would imagine the memorization would not be too difficult because of the repeated harmonic pattern.  Things stay quite diatonic, lots of repeats, and sometimes the right and left hand simply trade places.  It definitely doesn't look like a monster.  But I have not played it; I could be wrong.

I'm studying the Chaconne, but i only have one edition, and is not very clear.
Someone have a urtext or something like that? I'll very happy.
