Hi,
I normally wouldn't make a thread about this as I doubt I will get any direct answer as this is most probably an individual thing, but I wanted to know if any of you have experienced the same as I.
Having recently returned from my holiday and been away form the piano for about a week (having normally practiced daily for about 3/4 hours), I have come to practice today and my hands feel clumsy and more un-coordinated than they were before. Obviously to some degree this would be expected due to the lack of daily prctice, but I just wan't some reasurance as I can't shake the feeling that I have lost some spark I had before, like I was at the top of my game before and now sagging under at 70% of that. I also realise the more I think this way, the more likely I will convince myself I have lost something and attribute every error and such to it, which is a path I do not wan't to start. (that probably answers my own paranoia, some form of "forum catharsis")
It sounds dramatic after only a week away, but I was really enjoying myself before I left and it is a little dissapointing at the moment.
Have any of you experienced this and did you finally feel you were back at your normal level quickly?
