Last night I heard a chopin e minor(op.1)conceto,and I was shocked!She played it with string qvartet,and it was like they didn't hear them selves.She didn't play with real orchest.but I was wondering something,That woman is famous,in Germany,and Serbia,how can that things happen?mistakes,mistakes?And I thought I am not able to play with orcestra>My God!!

Some concertos do not need an orchestra and that is one of them.

Chopin did arrange the orchestra parts for string quartet for both concertos. I wouldn't consider it that unheard of for an early romantic concerto. Heck, a lot of concertos from around that time (roughly) or slightly before can even be played in a solo reduction with acceptable results.

i would think the f minor would especially sound good with a string quartet.

speaking of that, the beethoven g major piano concerto has a secind movement that can be with a string quartet. no transcription needed

Mozart sanctioned a string quartet accompaniment for three concertos, K413, K414 and K415.
These work well as pieces of chamber music and while I'm fully aware that a number of concertos from the early romantic period were also arranged for such reduced accompaniments (indeed I believe that, in the case of one of the Moscheles concertos that is all there is extant as performing material) it strikes me as a bit of a "cop-out" to perform the Chopin concertos (which are not infrequently performed) in this way as the orchestral writing does not translate into such good chamber music as do the Mozart examples, being more an accompaniment to the piano part rather than an integrated collaboration.
