Free - Kobrin Master Class!
on: September 27, 2007, 03:35:25 PM
Hey gang

Alexander Kobrin is giving a free master class in Columbus Ohio on Oct 20, 2007.

Any high-school aged pianists can apply to perform for him.  The application is found on the Columbus Symphony Orchestra website www.columbussymphony.com.  Go to 'Education', then 'For Young Musicians', then 'Master Classes' for additional information.  If you scroll down a bit you'll find the application to download as well as information on the time, location, and directions.

The master class is free to attend and open to the general public.

I love Kobrin's playing, myself.  I might even go, just to attend.  If any of you are going, please let me know, and we can meet up.
For us musicians, the music of Beethoven is the pillar of fire and cloud of mist which guided the Israelites through the desert.  (Roughly quoted, Franz Liszt.)

I'm going.  There's always something to learn at a master class.    :D

Word of warning to those who will be going - Ohio State is playing a home football game that afternoon at 3:30pm, so avoid heading in to campus following the master class (the master class is a few miles west of the campus area).
