Can anyone recommend any Piano and Double Bass duets?

Hi, I'm an electric Bassist who also plays Double Bass and is currently studying music at university, I have the opportunity to play with many other talented musicians and though its primarily a popular music course there are some excellent classical pianists too, I'd like to take the chance to play some classical music without throwing myself strait into an orchestra (though I do plan to do that too sometime soonish).

I'm more of an Electric than a Double Bassist so though I'm capable up to about position III-IV (7-9th note on the neck, up to the D or E above middle C) I don't really want to try any virtuoso 'accompanied' Double Bass solos yet, just pieces that involve Double Bass and Piano, preferably in equal proportion but if they were weighted either way its probably best that they favour the Piano part, since the pianists will be more adept at Piano then I am at Double Bass. I'm not really looking for 'beginner' pieces either, just things that mainly stay in that general range really.

Any suggestions are welcome.

I'm currently learning the Hindemith Sonata for Double Bass and Piano.  Not sure if it's your thing though because it's 20th century music and both the Bass part and the Piano part are extremely difficult.  Anyway, just my two cents.

Besides the Hindemith, I don't know of any good ones off the top of my head. If you know a good violinist, you should try to work out Niels Viggo Bentzon's Duo Concertante for violin and double bass.

Hindemith seams to have composed for all ensembles, no matter how strange they may be.

I also know that Brahms and Beethoven have some pieces out there (I think sonatas) for Double Bass and Piano.  I'm not sure if these are original compositions, or if these are transcriptions for Double Bass taken from the Cello Sonatas.  I would think the latter, but anyway, they're probably good pieces to look at.

I have played with a double bassist one of the sonatas for viola da gamba by J.S.Bach. It's quite some time ago, so I don't remember which one, but it was fun.

There's arranged or by Paganini for double bass and orchestra (substitute piano of course).  But I can't give any more info sorry.
