Note reading exercises
on: October 05, 2007, 03:51:18 PM
One of my piano students is having trouble with note reading.  I have tried several things with her, including flashcards, and the only thing that seemed to help a lot was a note reading exercise that I printed off the web.  The site where I got it, Musicteaching.com, allowed the teacher to customize the exercise to the student and then the program would randomize all the notes, and voila!  It was great, but they changed it so now you have to pay to get the exercises.  Does anyone know of any similar note reading exercises that can be obtained online for free?  If I need to I'll just create my own, but that would take a lot of time and I'd rather not do it if I have to.

Thanks!

why not get her a simple sight-reading book.

I would reccomend this book https://www.frederickharrismusic.com/fhmcCN/Frederick.jsp
J.S Bach Italian Concerto,Beethoven Sonata op.2 no.2,Mozart Sonatas K.330&333,Chopin Scherzo no.2,Etude op.10 no.12&Fantasie Impromptu
