I have a Steinway & Sons Model B (2002, New York).
I have a Yamaha G1 Grand that I am delighted with. The only thing that is a bit annoying is that the light touch prevents me from being able to adapt very well to other pianos. I would love to have a Steinway & Sons, or a Fazioli. I would love to try a Fazioli one day.
Hey ayahav,I always believe that all pianos should be manufactured under standardised action of moderate stiffness, eliminating the need to 'get adapted' to the action of any other piano for performance or examination. I find this quite frustrating indeed!>
I have a digital Yamaha piano with really light keys, and this Russian upright piano, and since I can't speak or read Russian, I have no clue what the maker is called. I can maybe post an image tomorrow, and someone may identify it. Although, I'm planning on getting a new upright some day... Any recommendations?
Darkwind, I know you posted this a while ago, but if you still want suggestions, I suggest Petrof uprights- they have a great renner action and the price is decent as well. If I didn't have room for a grand, the first thing I would go for is a Petrof Upright.donjuan
