I would take the stool back and demand they replace or fix it. Obviously there was something wrong if the thing fell apart after only six months.If you don't get satisfaction, I would threaten to report the business to the Better Business Bureau (BBB in Canada) or other such agency that oversees unethical business practices.Such a threat often compels business owners to 'see the light' and do what is necessary to make the customer happy.If they don't acquiesce, then follow up with your threat and report them.Businesses hate bad publicity, but if there is no agency to report these bad business practices to, tell them you will let everyone know not to do any business with them.You could even threaten to stand outside their place of business with a placard stating the same thing.Don't ever piss me off! allthumbs
