Chopin Waltz 64 no1 recording
on: April 14, 2004, 12:06:40 AM
Heya, I just wanted to say Hi to every one, and say that its great to be a part of these forums. I wanted to introduce myself by sharing with you guys a piece im currently working on. I played this right after a 2 hour practice, and I was pretty tired(It was a dumb choice). But I just had the urge to do it. Now, you gotta bear with me, I made some bad mistakes, and also cuz this recording sucks!!!!!!!! What I did was Use a tape player to record myself downstairs, and then play it back for my PC MIC, it didnt come out BAD but its not cd quality if you know what I mean. Anyway, it would be great if you guys could gimme tips or comments/crits on the piece. I have been playing for about 2 years, 7 months with a teacher so thats why I played this easier piece.

For someone who has only learned the piano for just over 2-&-a-half years to play the 'Minute Waltz' that way is quite remarkable already, if a bit rushy and with missing details which could be refined for sure on detailed practice.
Aww, come on . . . the sound quality of your original playing was literally distorted
twice
through
two
microphones. The first one was the mike connected to your tape recorder and the second being the PC mike. Why not connect the
line output
from your tape recorder directly to the
line input
on your PC sound-card? That will eliminate distortion from the second mike.
