Close to my heart too. You play this beautifully. As I listen sometimes I want more tone color and pedal but what you do is great, good phrasing of the melody and excellent ryhthmic understanding of the mazurka. Give us some more!  8)

Sorry for commenting an old post, but it's my favourite Mazurka:
I find incredible to be able to play with such an originality. It's a piece close to your heart and I see you play it with your heart too. I heard Ashkenazy and Horowitz's versions, and your's is not at inferior level. Superb!

Not at all the way I "hear" this mazurka.  But you play with great love and conviction.  Bravo!

Beautiful! You had a very nice, clean sound and you incorporated a lot of expression in your playing. I'm actually used to playing this piece a little slower, but now that I hear you play it faster, I actually like it better this way.
Well done!

Thx for  reviving this thread. Simply wonderful to hear. One of the best Mazurkas by CHopin I ever heard.
