on: February 18, 2008, 02:30:17 PM
This is my attempt to play Scarbo... not even close... but I thought it'd be cool to post a video on what it's like when i'm desperately learning a difficult piece...
Part 1 and Part 2

Try not to laugh so hard... actually, maybe i should post one a month later to see if there's progress... how long does this piece take you guys??  i think this is still quite beyond me....

It's really not as bad as what I would have tougth in the beginning. It's still over you but I think you can manage, your piano looks like the touch is SOOO light. Well i wrote this while reading but you completly mess the end lol but anyways I think it is good work for a non-piano student. You still have much work to do but it's nice.

I think it would help a lot if you got your piano tuned  :)

You shouldn't play pieces like this at your stage, it's very dangerous for you, it could seriously harm your hands.

Have you played ondine and le gibbet?

Piano Street Magazine:
Poems of Ecstasy – Scriabin’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

The great early 20th-century composer Alexander Scriabin left us 74 published opuses, and several unpublished manuscripts, mainly from his teenage years – when he would never go to bed without first putting a copy of Chopin’s music under his pillow. All of these scores (220 pieces in total) can now be found on Piano Street’s Scriabin page. Read more
