How do you pronounce accel

I actually know Italian and it's definitely my suggestion and Petter's that's correct. Thierry is not  correct.

I go with "uh-chell" althought I've heard it "ax-sell" too.  I suppose it depends whether you want the Italian pronunciation.  I still would use uh-chell though.

In sweden we say ax-ell. Or at least I do. I suppose itīs more important to know what it means then to pronounce it right though. If someone was nitpicky about it I would probably pronounce it wrong hoping it would upset them.

I should introduce you to this prof I know.  Accompanied a jury once, and he was nitpicky annoyingly lecturing the horn player for incorrectly pronouncing "giocoso."  This was his idea of commenting on the horn players performance of the music.

There is only one correct way to pronounce it, despite all the many variations that occur across languages, and that true way is the Italian way. See my earlier post.
