Here it is... I finally finished the DVD from my recital last year.  This is one of the pieces I played in the second half.   :)

very very well played. I love that etude so so much.but with my 3 years of playing it would be impossible...

Can you explain me how the rhythm is calculated ?

is this a 7 against 2 rhythm ?

Theres no 'against' in this piece. Its pretty straight forward crossing over, no rhythmic problms. Making clear arpeggio's (or however those things are called) is the hard thing, because of those crossing overs.
Although this piece is hard, it (for me)  sounds alot harder than it actually is, especially if you compare it with the other grand etudes from liszt.

About the performance.
I like it, nice job! You have a nice technique Jlh, and you play it well. Especially the left hand melody in the F-major part (5th page i believe) comes out clearly. The only 'but' is subjective, i dont really like the way you do the opening phrase, abit too much rubato for my taste.

Is this the post you wanted a reply to?  Well it doesn't sound like you think my playing is a waste of forum space here...

Thanks for being candid about your opinion here.   :)

Never say impossible!  Give yourself some time and you can do anything!  The rhythm is pretty straightforward, as gyzzzmo says.  The opening melody (that changes hands), for instance, is comprised of quarter notes.

Thanks for listening!   :)

Look back on my other posts over the years.  I make a point to respond as much as I can... It just took me awhile because while I was posting I was also encoding and uploading more of the video from the DVD on my computer and couldn't surf the web at the same time... and trying to finish school at the same time.  I'm sorry I couldn't respond within your timeframe.  Patience is a virtue though.    ;)
