Has anyone played this piece?  Any thoughts on it?

Hi,
I've played these variations and think they are fantastic.  Some complain about the fugue, but it works just fine for me.  Go for it.  This work is much neglected.

IMO it's played too less, although I somehow think it's a better idea to play the transcription of the last movement of the Eroica Symphony, it's just more tight.

Thanks for the feedback.  It's a substantial project, but I'm going for it.  You don't hear it played too often.  I think the variations are a better choice than the transcription because they are Beethoven's written specifically for the piano.  Unless I'm mistaken, the transcription is someone else's reading of his symphony.

Yeah, but it's by Liszt, so it doesn't get better than that!

Good luck with your project, looking at the score there are some bitchy places! (Variation 13 is cool btw 8) )
