on: June 14, 2008, 12:12:51 AM
Just saw an advertisement.   ::)

How it have a bold taste?  Does that mean something has a meak taste too?

Have you ever heard anyone respond this way... How's that taste?  Why, it tastes bold!  Really bold!   ::) Yeah, ok dude... You and your "bold" tasting food....

My food just tastes like food.  It's doesn't taste like an emotional state.

Sound like a reminescent of courtesy long gone. If something taste like sh*t you might not be as polite today.

Actually - according to Miriam Webster, bold (as an adjective) has 7 different definitions, most of which don't, to me, describe an emotional sate, per se. Definition #6 is 'standing out prominently' , so, in that case, I'd say that a particular taste could definitely be "bold"...

But then, food, to me, doesn't just taste like "food" ... Certain tastes have a profound effect on my emotions. Actually - I think this is proven - especially with chocolate... I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

When I think of bold tastes, I think of barbecue sauce.  I think they use that word most.

Bold, Hearty, Homestyle, Gourmet, Delicious, Gooey, Creamy, Zesty, Tangy, anything that ends with '-y'....
All words that marketers use to charge a couple dollars more on food.
Some cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go.
