Ravel: Barque sur l'ocean...o_O
on: July 07, 2008, 02:34:31 AM
ok...I would really appreciate an explanation of "62/84" time...
seriously. Does Ravel expect me to count from one to sixty-four per bar?
lol okay its funny and im just being dramatic.
But is it reasonable to assume you could just simplify the counts? For example the first few bars, there is a pretty clear 4, 8, or even 12 beat pulse. Is that what's supposed to happen?

Without benefit of the music, I'm guessing that it's probably two time signatures written one after the other 6/8 and 2/4. Choose one for counting.
