Could anyone tell me what recordings you like of the Beethoven Eroica variations (Op. 35)??  I've listened only to Gould so far.

I'm not sure whether I'm thinking of the right piece or not but Alfred Brendel has made a fantastic live recording of one of Beethovens' set of variations. (Thinking about it it might be the Diabelli!).

I actually just ordered Brendel's recording from the library and will go pick it up today.
