oh,yes that's true. una corda is left pedal. that doesn't solve my problem. it seams impossible to play it without the middle pedal,(the lower notes last all measure) and i'd also like to use the right pedal. well, i don't have three legs. ;D


as I said, I've always used the right pedal for that.  but now I'm going to switch and use the middle pedal.  still not sure if I'll use the left pedal at all.  if I were going to be a strict constructionist, I would say that I don't see una corda written anywhere, but I might just say I like the way it sounds with the left pedal.  :)

and now I will continue to struggle over the 3rd and 4th pages, as I have for a great long while.  one of these days I'll be able to actually play them.

Weel, you could play it with dampers and normal pedal. The sostenuto pedal is only really needed for one bit - the start of the second page.
