Nice, I could place my scores there. But no score stand? Lame.
Trying to return to playing the piano.

Looks more like a counter-top with a keyboard stuck on it.

If it works, it's obviously an electronic piano.

Yeah, the bar chairs there... It's encouraging people to set stuff on the piano. :o

That seems like a piano taken from a futuristic movie. I like it.

Must be a San Francisco Steinway?  Things are different on the west coast.

yes.  it's probably a verbal command pedal.  the accoutriments are just there for looks.  the keyboard is very small - but perhaps doubles when you hit the doubling button.  i hate to make west coast jokes since i used to live there - but don't you wonder why the stools are on the wrong side of the piano?  at least have one stool on the correct side.  this is what drugs do to your brain.

maybe it's a 'hands off' piano.  you can see the white benches slightly curved outwards for better ease of falling down whilst attempting to reach the keyboard.  unless your audience sits on the stools?  i would like the piano better - hung from the ceiling as a chandalier.  in fact, i would definately think about buying this should it be hung upside down.  four or five spotlights strategically placed to focus on your music and piano below.  a sort of mirror image above.  hopefully, made of lightweight materials - should there be an earthquake.

Oh, are these finally available?  Truly fine instruments and they are designed and named for particular, well-known pianists.

This one pictured -- with the black finish -- is the "Thalway," and offers bar space for lining up brews and ale.

There's a lovely one in a white finish -- named the "Pianistimoway" -- and the flat space incorporates a plexiglass cutting board for the preparation of nibblies and veggie snacks in between etude performances for hungry family members.

general disarray,

the concept is ingenious - to design a piano for a specific person.  sort of like top sports cars.  the only problem for me is that i wish it were that simple to get my family to come around the piano.  there would have to be a flat screen tv in there somewhere.  of course, that would defeat the purpose of listening to music.  but, if the family had earphones on - they wouldn't be telling me to play quieter.  typically, i don't play etudes all the time.  i reserve that for people i want to impress.  my family is non-plussed no matter what i play.  i could play like horowitz and they'd tell me to pipe down.

if they designed the piano i'd play- it would be similar to the piping structure of the 'pill seed' in 'horton hears a who' - excepting backwards.  i'd play the music and it would go through a series of pipes and lessening of vibrations - until it came to one single wobble which would then fall over.

Well, just have a camera trained on you while you're playing and have that projected onto the flat screen TV!  Mom on TV!  Playing Leroy Anderson, Chopin, Beethoven, etc.

Instead of "Desperate Housewives" we can have "Virtuosic Housewives"!

where's my manager?  will you be my manager.  i've never had one.  ok. i'll start practicing. perhaps the title could be 'deperate but virtuosic housewives.'  no. that doesn't sound right.

Okay, I'll manage you.  First the small screen, then the BIG screen!  First Ciinerama, then 3D!  We'll combine it with a cooking show to get a bigger audience:  "Kulinary Keyboard Kapers -- with Capers!"  (Forget pole dancing . . . that's totally over.)
