Urgent Beethoven op. 101 Question
on: August 03, 2008, 09:00:37 PM
The third movement (or the introduction to the finale, if you like) of Beethoven's Sonata in A Major, op. 101, is partially a quotation of a major choral work of Bach - I can't remember which and can't find the source that I read it in.  Does anyone know/remember?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Michael

It's the first movement of the trio sonata from Bach's A Musical Offering BWV 1079.
Don't let anyone know where you tie your goat.
