I like the reinstallment of the Bernhard program.  Quite nifty to have that back.  :)

Agreed.  8)

Outweighs all the problems encountered.  ;D

I don't like this.  For one thing the buttons underneath the "Total time" counter (which I do like) don't have any personality, and they should also extend across the whole page.

Thirdly, why can't we tell, by looking at all the threads in a board, which ones we have posted in?  I post in a lot of threads, I can't always remember exactly which ones, and in the old format, the icon on the left changed when you posted in it.  Now they all look the same.

I would very much like to hear about the issue of the icons.  Why doesn't the icon change, once we've posted in a thread?  I don't always know the ones I've posted in, or some are very old, and they keep coming back, and it would be nice to know, did I already contribute?

Another thing: the previous Pianoforum had spellcheck and would red-underline words that were mispelled.  Now I have no warning if I typo.  Why can't we have that back?

At the end of the thread, you used to be able to go back to the board.  now you have to go up to the top of the thread, and get back to the board, or to get to the whole list of piano boards.  Why can't it be on both sides?

I have noticed that viewing who's online is seemingly not possible anymore.  Is this temporary or has it been removed permanently ?

Yes I noticed that too. I liked using it as you spotted threads you had never seen before but I also understand that people didn't enjoy it because they believed it was classed as "stalking".

I'm still getting used to the improvements so I'm not quite keen on them right now. Nils, can you add a "Spell-Checking" feature on the forum? I think many members would benefit from this highly-needed feature. I also don't like how it says "PF Website" in large, white letters on the right-hand side of the PF Board (the other boards have it also, which isn't required. We know what board we're in!!!)

Hope the Chat will be back soon!

Some of the toolbars, Google and Yahoo, have a spellchecker that will do the job.  That's waht I sue.

We shouldn't be asking if Nils can add new functions...we should be asking if SMF (Simple Machine Forums) can provide these functions. That is what PianoStreet runs off.

So...can SMF provide a spellchecker?  :-\

Just use the new Firefox. Don't put Nils through any more trouble.

Good. You won't be missed.

And I only looked at Nils's profile like 3 times. It wasn't an often occurrence.

Is there a way to get the old login back?  Where you don't have to log in each time?  I had to type everything in just now.  Usually it's... use a favorites to get to the page, then click login, click yes I am me, the click back to the forum.  I used to just click on a favorite to go straight to updated posts.

You can set it to remember you, but that only works on the computers you use of course. But then you should be able to go straight to your posts-from the home page if you want.

I've got it that way I think.  It was before.  And it's still the same as far as I can tell.  Yes, I've got two pianostreet cookies in there.  I still have to hit the login button, but I don't have to type anything.  It knows.
