Yes... Look at my signature...

Most of the piano books and pieces were my uncle's, but some were from my grand-aunt who was a teacher. She had a couple of strokes, and I've only seen her wheelchair-bound. Auntie says that before all that, she was teaching SPED here. She can teach mutes, and read Braille. Wow!  :o And before even that, she taught music in the states. We have books here on teaching music to children. I didn't keep themk, though. I'm running out of space.  :P
What's SPED? That's pretty mad, to be able to teach mutes and blind people. I mean as in are you playing grades etc.?

Special Ed.

Nope. I learn piano as part of a music course. We don't have grades as in 1-8, but we have final exams every semester. I want to be a music teacher. It's in my blood, apparently.

What? My grand-aunt taught music in the states, then Special Education here. And then got a couple of strokes, and got stuck in a wheelchair. It's true.

Odd. I don't remember posting a sad face but it kinda makes sense. Yeah that's fine, I know you have no reason to be making it up.

Yes, my heart is cracking because we'll have this recital on the 20th (I even invited pinoypianist to come over) and I'll play Sonatina in C 3rd mvt. But my classmates are going to play Chopin Minute Waltz and Waltz in C#m. I'm sooooooo envious! And to think that if I was Sir dean's student, I might have been the same, too. So sad.

Anyhow. Let's put our heads together. I don't really care much about school as it is right now, but I WILL be a teacher. Someone has to be the good piano teacher around here, and I'll do it...

If it's not too much, I'd like you to do an experiment for me. Take the music scores and the directions on how to tackle them on this thread:
https://www.pianostreet.com/smf/index.php/topic,7810.msg78598.html#msg78598
There are 3 pieces. If you agree to this, tell me of your progress in a month. I shall coax my two beginner classmates to do the same, and myself also. I want as much information as I can get.

Hanon wars isn't just a story. It's how I get to express how I feel about piano. What is it all about? Technique? Musicality? Friendship? Romance? Or a mix of everything? I cannot decide yet on the outcome...

Well, you are... I mean, you are different. Nothing to feel bad about.  ;)
Those guys are jerks, ignore them. If you enjoy piano and gaming, what's wrong with that?

morningstar, you asked me what SPED is, then concerto_love said :P (lick), then you said  ??? (questions). So I felt the need to clarify. Are you okay now? Have you found a way to express your grief?

Nope not yet but I'm taking it out on my newer computer, seems to help slightly. Trying to find solace in the Bible also and friends at church want to pray for me, so that might help.
