Relative abundance of fluoride in water, microwave dishes installed near schools, mercury tooth fillings, the perennial encouragement of left-brain activity in children, and the general dumbing down of students through government education.

Having never had any of those things really affect me (except the flouride in the water to a lesser extent), can't be sure or objective. Sounds nasty though.

I don't think the damage has been done physically as much as it's been done morally, in this, erm, lovely world of ours.

I don't think I need to expand that further. :)

Conspiracy? I doubt it. People don't have that much imagination and I doubt they would do anything so massive on purpose. More like laziness + ignorance. So what if the future generations suffer? I'd be dead by then.  ;)
