I got nominated to go to Japan for a student exchange program!

Hi ilikepie! nihonjin desuka? I take it you are unless you are just really good at Japanese!
I got nominated to go to Japan for a student exchange program! I better brush up on my Japanese.
Yea the phenomena exists in other cultures aswell , but we would rather describe it by one of the disorders they are given. Labels like that must be very stigmatizing, maybe it has something to do with the parents shame?
いいえ、そんなことないですよ。お大事にと言う決まり文句は英語でTake care of yourself"の意味なんです。
I configured my play station 3 to japanese and I canīt switch it back cause all I see are incomprehensible signs.
Look for something like 英語.That means English.
Question to those who have lived in Japan, is 'anata' considered rude.My Japanese teacher says it is, but the way I see it is if you don't know their name, what the heck do you call them?
Thanks P-chick, Iīll look for it. Iīm not 100% itīs Japanese thought, it might be Korean, mandarin, traditional Chinese or Cantonese or an alien language.
Anata is not exactly rude. But it's a little intimate so when you use it to strangers, it comes off as rude. I mean, you don't call strangers dear, honey or baby, right? You have the choice to omit the subject pronoun or ask the other person his/her name.
So to use it with my best friend/boyfriend would be completely fine?
baka.... nyahahah!!!
