Need background of Chopin's Ballade No. 3
on: October 01, 2008, 12:30:36 PM
Hello everyone!

I'm a newbie of these forums, I'm 14 years old and I've studied piano for over 5 years. currently I just began to learn Chopin's 3rd ballade. If anyone can tell me about the background of this piece or the literature work that it's related to it, that would be a great help. I'm gonna perform in a school concert on November so I have lots of time to practice and get a feel of what the music is about.

I'm looking forward to fellow pianists who are willing to help!

Check Wikpedia to read the background.  Wikpedia explains the Ballad is based upon a story about a water nymph and a mortal man.
