something I made today
on: October 20, 2008, 02:57:22 AM
Hey guys, i wrote a piece today using piano and my synthesizer.  My tempo gets kind of weird at some times because I recorded it in pieces.
If you have any suggestions or comments, please let me know!

Reminds me of some RPG game music ;) Simple melody that doesn't get out of your head lol. Always a good idea.

Awesome, I like it, sounds like a demo piece on a digital piano or something maybe you should try selling it to Yamaha or Roland.

It's quite good.  It sounds like a bit I was improving a couple weeks ago, we seem to share similar styles!  Good job. I agree that it could easily be sold to the whatever company made the keyboard you recorded it on as a demo piece.
Currently working on
Chopin: Waltz 34/2 in Am [polishing]
Debussy: Clair De Lune [paused currently]
Mozart: Sonata 5 K283 in G 1st movement [polishing]
Bach: Sinfonia 4 in Dm [halfway through]

Women and the Chopin Competition: Breaking Barriers in Classical Music

The piano, a sleek monument of polished wood and ivory keys, holds a curious, often paradoxical, position in music history, especially for women. While offering a crucial outlet for female expression in societies where opportunities were often limited, it also became a stage for complex gender dynamics, sometimes subtle, sometimes stark. From drawing-room whispers in the 19th century to the thunderous applause of today’s concert halls, the story of women and the piano is a narrative woven with threads of remarkable progress and stubbornly persistent challenges.
