It does seem like beards are associate with some type of thinking.  Could be profound/wise thinking.  Could be devious thinking.

hmmmm ... well, in this case I am more inclined to look at the eyes rather than the beard.

I have to admit he does have beautiful eyes. Maybe the beard is for thinking, but the eyes attract people so they think you're wise.

I know a person with a beard who thinks of the most random things in the middle of whatever he is doing.

Never heard of that before. I know that if your eyebrows connect (a monobrow), that is supposedly the sign of a murderer. Load of rubbish.

I just grew back my beard. I feel smarter already!  ;) Actually, most people say it does makes me look more "scholarly" and "distinguished"--I can live with that. Mine is only about 3/8" long--no Bin Laden for me!
